Written and recorded the morning of October 14, 2008.

From Heather: "One of my first a deepest loves was a boy named Dan who, it turned out, loved boys. Before he realized this, we had a crazy, beautiful, passionate and entirely non-sexual relationship. He was one of my closest and dearest friends. We survived being teenagers by leaning on each other. As we grew older, we lost each other, but parts of him seem to pop into my stories. Characters will suddenly say or do something that can only be traced back to him. I can't expunge him. Even when I don't mean to, I write about us. This song was written after one of my NaNo characters started, once again, fighting to be Dan. I sent the memory back into the corner, but the result was this song. Five years later, I still think it's kinda pretty."
